The project created for the “L’ Angolo del Gelato” artisan ice cream parlor in Piancastagnaio (SI) on Monte Amiata involves the construction of a tailor-made outdoor area that must meet the specific needs of the client.
The main need is to attract customers through an outdoor location that, unlike a closed and air-conditioned environment, leaves people wide freedom of movement without the need to cover themselves or not to compensate for the temperature changes between inside and outside. In addition, the savings in energy terms are undoubted as well as the impact on the environment practically zero. Hence the choice of the Dehor.
In fact, this type of structure manages to perform the dual function of having an open space in summer without suffering too much heat during the day and at the same time a sheltered but not closed place where you can enjoy the cool of the evening in total eco-sustainability. Even during the cold season it is possible to exploit the extra space thanks to specific solutions that offer shelter from wind and bad weather.
Finally, the possibility of showcasing the services or products offered should not be underestimated, it is the first impression that often makes the passing tourist decide to enter.
The 8 x 4.5 meter Dehor with double entrance door extends over a total area of 36 square meters. The design is strongly oriented towards linearity and clean lines. Enjoying an aperitif or a meal outdoors is undoubtedly a trend, and the style of the structure must emphasize the class of the restaurant’s experience. The floor is in fir matchboard with a specific treatment for outdoors. The PVC cover has a slight slope that allows rain to flow into the channel with drain integrated in the front columns. The side gables also allow complete closure along the entire perimeter by means of vertical drop awnings equipped with shelter bins.
