In 1960 the company,
who had carried out his activities in a small room of 50 square meters, began the manufacture of stairs and some items for the furnishing of the garden. In the meantime he obtained the patent for a deckchair (Robot) adjustable in 5 positions, an absolute novelty for the time.
It was in 1962 that the company took the name of Artigiangaia during the first exhibition of its products during the Barbarossa festival, in our beautiful village San Quirico D'Orcia, the hub of the Val d'Orcia park declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Given the success achieved, the production premises are expanded.
In the 1966 the individual company is transformed into a company, which allows the creation of a modern laboratory. The operation to expand the business was perfected in the following two years until it entered the new premises where we are still today. They were the years of the Turcevita and the Economic Boom and Artigiangaia produced headboards for beds, Termogaia ® electric heaters, chairs, tables and swings for the garden, gazebos and lanterns, aviaries etc ...
Following a corporate restructuring in 1995 Artigiangaia turns into Gaia and it is precisely in this period that our production of structures has been constantly enriched to include a truly complete range of gazebos, pergolas and shelters. The fairs of the sector both in Italy and abroad, have been the most immediate vehicle to spread the brand and the quality of our products to the general public.
Today Gaia is present with success in Italy and Europe thanks to the peculiarity and elegance of its products, which have always been totally realized within the company. With great will and determination, since the early 60s, a dream came alive ... today the dream continues with seriousness and competence.
